Heading into summer at full swing!
A festive End of Season programme by Introdans – entirely in black-and-white style – featuring a number of fabulous and vibrant choreographies.
In addition to various virtuosic highlights from Introdans’ recent repertoire, the program also includes plenty of surprises and inclusive dance encounters. New creators are introduced, special guest dancers make an appearance, and the company reflects on collaborative projects with artists and organizations from other disciplines. For dancers ending their careers or moving abroad, the annual End of Season is also the perfect opportunity to shine one last time and showcase all their talents. The audience is invited to join the celebration in style – dressed in black and white to match the performance theme!
The programme includes ballets by choreographers Po-Cheng Tsai, Lightfoot & León, Robert Battle, David Parsons, Adriaan Luteijn, and Chantal de Vries, among others. Read more below.
End of Season premieres on June 18, 2026 at Theater Amphion in Doetinchem.
Tour: June 18 to June 27, 2026
Locations: Doetinchem, Eindhoven, Gouda, Hengelo, Apeldoorn
The programme includes Floating Flowers by choreographer Po-Cheng Tsai (2014) and the much-praised Susto by Lightfoot & León (1994). In Susto, the dancers interact with a stream of sand to the sounds of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. The beauty and humor of this piece by the renowned choreographic duo truly shine through. In the duet Floating Flowers, the dancers’ playful movements contrast with the heavy undertones of the string section. Both works explore the balance between light and dark; yin and yang.
Also featured is the ballet Promenade by choreographer Robert Battle – a dynamic, playful satire on social norms and values. And last but not least, the iconic solo Caught by choreographer David Parsons: a fusion of art and technology that demands perfect timing and athletic endurance. The result is a breathtaking play with gravity, in which the dancer appears to float through the air, devour the space, and then magically come to a standstill at the center of the stage.
In addition to these gems from the Introdans repertoire, the company also presents a sizzling excerpt from Pink Panther Party by choreographers Adriaan Luteijn and Chantal de Vries. A groovy show full of seventies disco joy, centered around tolerance and featuring an inclusive cast – continuously making space for everyone’s uniqueness. The cherry on top of this (salty licorice) cake of an evening!
