Royal visit to the studios!

Yesterday, we welcomed our patron, Princess Margriet, to the Introdans studios for an informal working visit. During her visit, she was given an inside look into the creative process of the company and attended several rehearsals of productions that will soon be presented on stage.

Princess Margriet attended rehearsals of a new ballet by choreographer Andonis Foniadakis, which will be part of the new programme ENERGY. She also watched excerpts from Mano a Mano by choreographic duo Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bacovich, which will be featured in the End of Season 2026 programme. Both works highlighted the energy, physicality and expressive power of the dancers.

In addition to attending rehearsals, Princess Margriet met with directors Roel Voorintholt and Marieke van ’t Hoff to discuss developments within Introdans, the artistic direction of the company and the importance of dance and culture in society. She also spoke briefly with répétiteurs and several dancers about their work and the rehearsal process.

It was an inspiring and memorable afternoon, centred around creativity, talent and the connecting power of dance. We look back on this special visit with great pleasure.
