Welcome to the safe space! With the swinging dance production Pink Panther Party, Introdans takes you back to the tolerant disco culture of the 70s. The colorful cast of 20 dancers is a diverse reflection of people, with dancers from Introdans and other dance communities such as urban, show dance, funk and hip hop. In addition, a dozen non-professional dancers shine on the disco floor. Pink Panther Party by choreographers Adriaan Luteijn and Chantal de Vries was the anniversary hit of last season. The audience could barely stay seated. From 25 to 28 August this dazzling disco party returns, this time in Stadstheater Arnhem.

‘The loose hips of Introdans keep the spirit of disco alive’, is how Trouw described the performance. The early years of disco were a time of ideals and possibilities. In New York, people from the gay, Latino and black community came together in safe places to dance, simply because they were not welcome in the ‘regular’ dance clubs. Thus, discotheques and disco music and dance were born.
