The world premiere of the ballet Pulsetic hits the bull’s-eye.
Nineteen dancers truly impress, their bodies like balls of energy showing just how much power and love of dancing they have. Inventive lighting, which at times makes it look as if the dancers are moving through a high mist or are backlit from behind, adds an extra thrilling atmosphere. Dressed in loose tops, with the women’s long hair worn loose giving the movements an extra sheen, a group of dancers generates a stream of movement from the centre of the stage that soon has you on the edge of your seat. From there they fly off in every direction. What follows is a succession of truly terrific pas de deux. The dancers come and go like a whirlwind, moving from a tangle of women to a tangle of men, and it all ends in an almost orgasmic finale.
