Dance Workshops 2025

All year round, Introdans organises a wide range of tailor-made dance workshops for diverse target groups – from children and young people to (vulnerable) older adults. These workshops take place at festivals and events, as well as on location in care homes and theatres. Introdans is everywhere – and moves you!

Dance Workshops at the Beurzenfestival – Amsterdam
On Friday 13 June, Introdans will host two workshops during the Beurzenfestival organised by the VSB Fund. The event takes place at the H’ART Museum in Amsterdam. These workshops focus on connection and interaction, using dance material from Bye Bye Land. The Beurzenfestival is a festive gathering for all students who are soon to go abroad with a VSB Fund scholarship, as well as for alumni. During the event, the director of the VSB Fund will officially present the scholarships. (private event)

Dance Workshops at De Zoomerij – Oosterbeek
In August 2025, Introdans and De Zoomerij – in collaboration with Vilente – will organise a dance series at the Felixoord location of the Vegetarian Care Centre in Oosterbeek. The workshops are for both residents and neighbours of Felixoord. Over the course of five sessions, participants will work with Introdans dance teachers to create a dance piece. The choreography will be inspired by material from Introdans performances – but more importantly, by the stories and wishes of the participants themselves. The theme of the series is compassion – for each other, for life, and about coming out of your shell. The fifth session will include a public presentation. Dance is not only enjoyable, it’s also good for body and mind: it keeps you active, stimulates creativity, and fosters connection and joy. Introdans firmly believes that everyone can dance! This dance series is made possible in part by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and the VSB Fund. (private event)

Dance Workshops at Attent – Velp
During the week of May 12, Introdans, in collaboration with Attent, organized a special movement week for elderly people with dementia living in small-scale residential care facilities. These locations focused on personal care and attention. Most residents moved primarily from their chairs; a few still took short walks using a walker.

Movement activities were already a regular part of the weekly program, but during this special week, things were done a little differently. Together, we created surprising and playful moments where dance and movement were offered in an accessible way – tailored to what the residents were still able to do.

The week wasn’t just about physical activity, but also about experience, joy, and connection. Sharing a laugh, moving to music, or simply raising an arm – every gesture mattered. In this way, Introdans and Attent brought movement and human connection together in a meaningful and heartwarming way. (private event)
