On this page, we’ll keep you up to date on everything surrounding the construction of our new Introdans House, from the first decisions to the moment we open our doors.
About the project
Our current building no longer meets the needs of a company of our size. That’s why we’re building a new home: the Introdans House. The intended location for the new rehearsal building is on Beekstraat, next to the renovated Stadstheater and bordering the future Stadsoase (City Oasis).
The design is being created by KRFT Architecture studio. With their design vision Between City and Stillness, KRFT won over the selection committee through the strong connection between city, landscape and dance, the careful integration into the historic surroundings, and the ambitious relationship with the Stadsoase.
The new Introdans House will be more than just a rehearsal building: it will be a home base for our company and an inspiring workplace for dancers and staff. The architect’s design vision is based on an open and welcoming building where dance takes centre stage, with a large studio on the Stadsoase side and a second studio on Beekstraat. A central living room forms the social heart of the building, bringing together dancers, staff, visitors and fellow residents of the city. This creates room to grow, to create large-scale productions, and to further expand our educational work, right in the middle of a new cultural heart for Arnhem.
Timeline
Work is currently underway on the Preliminary Design. The Final Design is expected in mid-2027. Construction will take place in 2028–2029. The current expectation is that the new premises will be ready in December 2029.

The Introdans House won’t stand on its own: it ties in with the renovation of the neighbouring Stadstheater and the Stadsoase, designed by Braaksma & Roos Architecten, Civic Architecture and Arup. The final design for that project has now been completed and, if everything goes according to plan, will deliver a contemporary, accessible and sustainable theatre in 2028, surrounded by a green city oasis.
