Winner of the Gelderland Culture Award 2025: Adriaan Luteijn

December 6, 2024

Choreographer Adriaan Luteijn receives the Cultuurfonds Gelderland Culture Award 2025 for his groundbreaking work with the Arnhem-based dance company Introdans. As a choreographer and Artistic Initiator of Interaction & Inclusion, Luteijn places diversity and accessibility at the heart of his work. His innovative projects demonstrate how dance can connect people and offer new perspectives—not only in Gelderland but also nationally and internationally.

Adriaan’s inclusive approach, which integrates people of all abilities into professional dance, sets an inspiring standard for the performing arts sector. By making dance accessible to everyone, he shows how art can foster understanding and inclusion. His innovative work enriches not only the cultural life in Gelderland but also serves as a global example of how art can contribute to meaningful social change.

The awards will be ceremoniously presented on March 21, 2025, at Musis & Stadstheater Arnhem by Henri Lenferink, Commissioner of the King and Chair of the Cultuurfonds Gelderland.

About the Gelderland Culture Fund Awards:
The Cultuurfonds Gelderland Culture Award and the Cultuurfonds Gelderland Nature Award replace the Gelderse Pauwenveer and the Gelderse Bokaal, which were alternately awarded each year. By recognizing these two disciplines annually, the Cultuurfonds Gelderland aims to raise awareness of both culture and nature.
