With Pink Panther Party XXL dance company Introdans takes you into the disco culture of the seventies, a time when queer, Latino and Black communities celebrated their freedom and identity on the dance floor. That sense of togetherness and energy is fully present in this vibrant production. And the best part is: after the performance you can hit the dance floor yourself with DJ Rob Manga.

From Friday 19 December to Tuesday 30 December 2025 you can enjoy this feel good dance performance at Concertgebouw de Vereeniging in Nijmegen. The first shows are already sold out so make sure to get your tickets soon.

A search for a place where you can dance freely
Imagine this: a group of young people wandering through the city looking for warmth, music and a space where they can be themselves and dance the way they want. During their search they stumble upon an old abandoned building full of nightlife stories from days gone by.

There they meet a property guardian who remembers the disco era. Together they bring new life into the space. Beats fill the room, bodies start to move, and lives intertwine on the dance floor. That is what Pink Panther Party XXL is all about.

A safe space where you can be yourself
Pink Panther Party has been on stage before but this time you will see a completely new version. Adriaan Luteijn and Chantal de Vries are the choreographers. Adriaan: “This renewed edition is more colourful and bigger than ever, with a cast of more than twenty dancers from classically trained Introdans dancers to performers from other dance worlds and different generations.”

Pink Panther Party is truly a visual treat where exceptional dancers share the stage. The performance is about the incredible power of young people to change the world. They long for a safe space where you can be yourself and celebrate who you are.”

‘This performance really is a party for everyone’
Twenty-something Vega Diesveld is one of the dancers. “This performance is very accessible and fun for everyone because who doesn’t know disco music?”, Vera says. “My friends went to the first shows in Arnhem in October and told me they couldn’t sit still. Afterwards they danced the night away.”

“Definitely come even if you don’t go to the theatre often because this show really is a celebration. Every dancer on stage has their own style, costume and character and you can see those personalities throughout the performance from disco to voguing and hip hop.”

The costumes in the performance were gathered by fashion designer Sjaak Hullekes. His designs are based on recycling and sustainability and inspired by the visitors of Studio 54 adding an extra layer of glitter and glamour.

Enjoying the performance even after the final bow
With Pink Panther Party XXL Introdans celebrates freedom and diversity. The theatre transforms into a vibrant disco where you start as a spectator and end as a participant or better yet a dance partner.

DJ Rob Manga known from events such as the hip hop and R&B party Bassline and the soul party LEGENDS plays live sets after the show. Choreographer Adriaan: “After the performance you’re welcome to step onto the dance floor yourself the dancers will invite you to join them.”
