UNUM – Rehearsals have started in Japan

April 4, 2025

Rehearsals have begun in Japan for UNUM, a new intergenerational choreography by Adriaan Luteijn and butoh dancer Dai Matsuoka. The production is a collaboration between Introdans, LAND FES, Sadamatsu-Hamada Ballet Company, and Het Nieuwe Instituut, and will premiere on 21 May 2025 during the Netherlands’ National Day at the World Expo in Osaka.

In UNUM, professional dancers perform together with their (grand)parents. Representing Introdans are Angelica Villalon and Mark van Drunick, who will dance with their mother and father. After rehearsals in the Netherlands, they will travel to Japan to continue working with Japanese dancers and their family members.

UNUM is made possible with support from the Dutch Embassy in Japan.
