On the occasion of the interactive exhibition Hear Here by Fillip Studios at the Eusebius Church in Arnhem, Introdans is organizing six exclusive workshops from 6 March – 8 April 2025 for groups in Arnhem with a socio-economically vulnerable position, including NewBees Midden-Gelderland. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance accessibility and participation in dance workshops while reaching a new and broader audience.
The exhibition features three interactive art installations (Linea Franca, Echo, and Resonance). During the workshops, participants will engage with the artworks, dance, and each other. By offering dance to vulnerable groups, Introdans contributes to fostering a more open and creative mindset—both towards themselves and their surroundings—ultimately promoting a more inclusive society.
Echo transforms voices into organ-like sounds, Resonance makes water respond to touch with vibrations and reflections, and Linea Franca offers a musical experience upon contact. The exhibition is the result of a two-year Artist in Residence program by Fillip Studios at the Eusebius Church and marks the Arnhem-based collective’s first solo project in their hometown.
Tom Kortbeek and Roos Meerman, founders of Fillip Studios, see the exhibition as a tribute to Arnhem. Meike Verhagen, director of the Eusebius Church, considers it an enrichment of the museum experience within the church.
The exhibition runs until August 31, 2025. The Eusebius Church is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and admission is free.
