Bridge to Liberation 2025

On Friday, September 19, Introdans will once again be part of Bridge to Liberation in Arnhem. Echoes Unbound is a new choreography by former Introdans dancer and choreographer Jurriën Schobben, inspired by one of the Bridge to Liberation films.

In that film, we see how Robert Cain loses two of his closest friends during the Battle of Arnhem, and how years later his daughter gains new insights about the father she lost at a young age while visiting the Airborne Museum.

The choreography begins in this shared moment: two people, connected by family and loss, yet separated by time and experience. For him, they were his comrades; for her, it was her father. On stage, a dialogue without words unfolds: how do they cope with this loss? How do they find each other, together yet distant? Music by Max Richter, performed live by Phion, elevates the performance into a powerful and poetic experience.

About Bridge to Liberation 2025

Lisette Wellens and Frances Cain take the audience on a personal journey through historical sites, where memory and emotion come together in a moving tribute to courage, hope, and sacrifice.

Bridge to Liberation connects past and present in an immersive experience about war and freedom. With performances by Emma Heesters, 3JS, Janna, Michael Wilmering, Introdans, and the Phion Orchestra, stories are shared that will resonate long after the show.
