Introdans presents a timeless and enchanting version of The Nutcracker, set to the iconic music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Stripped of traditional references, this bold interpretation is crafted by Belgian choreographer Jeroen Verbruggen, renowned for his festive, poetic, and boundless imagination.

The scenography and costumes, true works of art, are created by the visionary duo of the Parisian couture house ON AURA TOUT VU, Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, who bring a baroque and atypical universe to this production.

In this exuberant reinterpretation of the masterpiece by Marius Petipa (1892), Jeroen Verbruggen invites us to dive into a shimmering, swirling world, oscillating between carefree whimsy and frivolity. The story highlights Marie, a young girl exploring her femininity, and Drosselmeyer, a mysterious master of ceremonies who harbors the prince Marie must free.

Through a virtuosic and whirling dance, Verbruggen explores a dreamlike universe inspired by Wonderland, where dark and bright tones intertwine in joyful and absurd alternations. The characters multiply, playing with emotions and awakening the childlike wonder within us all.
