Education: Dance Conservatory at Institut del Teatre, Barcelona

Gabriel Parra Guisado was five years old when he saw a flamenco performance in his hometown. Captivated by the rhythm, powerful footwork and expressive style of flamenco, he immediately knew he wanted to dance. His parents enrolled him in a local dance studio, where his love for flamenco continued to grow.

At the age of twelve, his teacher encouraged him to audition for the Conservatory of Dance in Barcelona. After two years of intensive preparation, Gabriel was accepted, specialising in Spanish dance and flamenco.

After graduating in 2021, Gabriel felt an increasing attraction to contemporary dance. Inspired by its freedom and expressive possibilities, he auditioned for IT Dansa, a contemporary dance company. He was accepted and spent three years immersing himself in contemporary dance. Although the transition from flamenco to contemporary dance was challenging, it gave him new artistic possibilities. He discovered a new passion that encouraged him to push the boundaries of his craft.

Gabriel’s dance career is driven by passion and determination. He draws inspiration from artists such as Daniel Doña, Ohad Naharin and Akram Khan, and continues to challenge himself to grow. For Gabriel, dance is more than a profession: it is a way of life, a medium through which he can express himself and explore his personal boundaries.

Introdans has always been Gabriel’s dream company. He is drawn to the company’s dynamic energy and diverse repertoire. “You can see that it’s one big family,” he says, “and I want to be part of that.”

At Introdans, Gabriel wants to continue developing as a dancer, pushing his artistic boundaries and contributing to the inspiring environment in which he can continue to grow.
