The work of Taiwanese choreographer Po-Cheng Tsai is theatrical, physical and emotionally driven. His choreography blends traditional Asian movement and martial arts with contemporary dance, creating a distinctive and accessible style.
From Taipei to the international stage
Tsai graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts in 2009. Shortly after, he founded B.DANCE, where he developed his own choreographic language and aesthetic.

Choreographic career
In addition to his work for B.DANCE, Tsai has created pieces for companies such as Introdans, Gauthier Dance and Tanz Luzerner Theater. His work has been recognised at numerous international choreography competitions.
Recognition
Tsai was named Upcoming Choreographer of the Year in 2018 by the German magazine Tanz. In 2020, he received the award for choreographic revelation at the French Palmarès du Prix du Syndicat professionnel de la critique Théâtre, Musique et Danse.
