On Saturday 6 June 2026, Stichting Pierrot and Stichting Gelders Productiehuis, in collaboration with Introdans, will bring a special performance to life in the Zwitsalhal in Apeldoorn. Together with dancers with a mild intellectual disability, we create a captivating world full of imagination, dance and encounter.
In this inclusive project, dancers with a mild intellectual disability work alongside amateur dancers, professional choreographers and creators from the field. Under the guidance of choreographers from Introdans, a performance emerges in which talent, collaboration and personal development take centre stage. Different backgrounds, levels and stories come together on stage in a shared fairytale world.
The performance shows what can emerge when everyone is given the space to participate, develop themselves and shine. Over the past months, intensive rehearsals have taken place, where joy, connection and creativity formed the foundation of every rehearsal and scene. ‘Once upon a time…’ is therefore more than just a dance performance. It is a project in which inclusion becomes both visible and tangible for participants and audience alike. A warm and inspiring experience for young and old, full of imagination, emotion and strength.
