Enrico Benedet once came across an old photograph of his mother dancing on pointe at a small dance school in his hometown. The photograph sparked his curiosity about dance, and he wanted to try it himself. At the age of six, he started taking classes at the same school.

From the age of fourteen, Enrico continued his training at Pompea Santoro’s Eko Dance Project in Turin. After four years of study, he spent three years with Eko Dance’s Young Project. There, he further developed his skills in both classical and contemporary dance and took his first steps towards a professional career in dance.

In the 2023/24 season, Enrico danced with Dantzaz in San Sebastián, Spain. It was a new step in his development and an opportunity to gain experience outside Italy. Looking back, he says he has been fortunate to meet many people along the way, each of whom inspired him in their own way. In particular, the colleagues he has worked with over the years have played an important role in his growth as a dancer.

After his time with Dantzaz, he spent six months with Ballet Schwerin in Germany. In January 2026, he joined Introdans. “What attracted me to Introdans was the variety of the work you can experience throughout a season. That is also what I enjoy about it now.”

For Enrico, dance cannot be captured in a single definition. “It is a mix of different elements that change every year.” The stage is where he gets the most energy. “The stage always brings something new, even when I think I know what to expect.”
