Dancing is Vega’s greatest passion. She already new she wanted nothing else, when she was only three years old. Every week she went to a ballet school in Doetinchem where she was soon allowed to dance with the older classes. Not much later, Vega auditioned at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and was accepted. 

After a couple of years at the Royal Conservatory, she decided to audition at ArtEZ’s preparatory course. There she was introduced to modern dance and a new world opened up to her. Her love for the classical ballet never disappeared, she always took her pointe shoes after the regular training hours and continued on her own. This is how the diligent student received a scholarship for the International Ballet Summer School at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden in 2018. 

In her last two years of pre-education, there was a collaboration between ArtEZ and Introdans. Two choreographies by Robert Battle were rehearsed for the ArtEZ final performances. That’s how she became acquainted with the repertoire and the way of working of the company. It was a wonderful experience.  

For her bachelor’s degree, Vega went to the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, where they offer a nice variation between classical ballet and contemporary dance. Many teachers have danced at Ballet Frankfurt under the direction of William Forsythe. He is one of Vega’s favourite choreographers and she was fortunate to dance a lot of his repertoire during the training. 

Vega danced as a trainee with the Hessisches Staatsballett in Wiesbaden during the 2022-2023 season. Due to her hard work and ability to learn quickly, she was on stage with the company every week. When she got the chance to dance at Introdans after four years in Germany, the choice was quickly made. It is a dream come true. Vega is an intern with Introdans in the 2023-24 season.
